Happy New Year and January update

Posted: 1 year ago

So, it’s been a while since I’ve dropped in on the blog.

I’ve working on behind-the-scenes stuff, which — though I find it endlessly fascinating — is not that compelling to the general reader. Plus, my children wanted to spend a little time with me over Christmas. Seems fair.

Over the past couple of months, I’ve rewritten most of the underlying librarian and personalization engines. Now, I’m starting on more of the front-end and polish pieces.

I have my first marketing campaigns hitting in February. It’s exciting to be in launch mode, if a little disconcerting. I’ve been working on this in one form or another for a long, long, long time. Now, we’ll see if anyone else in the world will find it useful.

Over the next few weeks, I’m going to be writing in the blog about Serendeputy’s JTBD, its guiding principles and the counter-intuitive (or, as some people I respect have told me, “stupid”) bets I’m making.

Assuming it takes a couple of months to learn from the influx of people in February, I should be able to move out of Beta by the end of June. That’s something to look forward to.

2018 was heads-down. 2019 is [all]-out.
